MADE FOR ALASKA

If You're Visiting...

Every year, people travel thousands of miles to experience Alaska for the very first time. I know that feeling because before calling this place home, I fell in love with it too.

Before becoming a full-time photographer here, I worked in Alaska's tourism industry, helping visitors experience everything this incredible state has to offer. That perspective has stayed with me.

Whether you're celebrating an anniversary in Denali, planning a surprise proposal beneath the midnight sun, or taking family photos during the trip you've dreamed about for years, I want your gallery to feel like more than vacation photos.

My goal is to preserve what it felt like to stand here.

The scale of the mountains.

The endless summer light.

The quiet.

The adventure.

Long after you've flown home, I want your photographs to bring you right back to Alaska.

If Alaska is home...

You already know this place changes with the seasons.

The first snow.

Fireweed blooming.

Midnight sun walks.

Golden birch leaves.

The first frost.

These moments become part of our lives before we even realize they're gone.

Whether you've lived here your whole life or the military brought you north for a season, your story deserves to be documented here.

Not just because Alaska is beautiful but because this landscape becomes part of who we are.

THE LANDSCAPE IS PART OF THE STORY

One of the things that makes my work different is that I don't treat Alaska like a backdrop.

The place matters just as much as the people.

Rather than posing you in front of a mountain and calling it done, I want you to interact with the landscape. We'll walk, explore, climb over rocks, splash through creeks, wrap up in blankets, chase wildflowers, or simply pause together while taking in the view.

Those little moments are often the ones that become your favorite photographs.

Let's talk about editing.

Film has always been one of my biggest sources of inspiration.

I studied photography for four years, spending countless hours learning about light, color theory, printing, and the way photographs communicate emotion. During college, I worked as a darkroom lab technician, processing and printing film by hand, and after graduating I continued working in a professional darkroom. Those years taught me to slow down and truly appreciate the craft of making photographs.

One of the things I loved most about film was that it never tried to make every place look the same. It embraced the light, the weather, the season, and the colors exactly as they existed. Decades later, those photographs still feel timeless.

That philosophy has shaped the way I edit today.

My work is inspired by soft film tones, natural color, and just a touch of grain to create images that feel nostalgic without feeling overdone. My goal isn't to cover your memories with a trendy filter. It's to preserve the feeling of the place you were in.

The truth is, your environment has a huge impact on how your photographs look, and I think that's something worth celebrating.

A misty morning in Seward should feel different than an evening beneath the midnight sun. The greens of an Alaskan summer shouldn't be forced to match the colors of a snowy winter. Every landscape tells its own story, and I want your gallery to reflect that story honestly.

You'll probably notice that my work feels cohesive, but I don't edit for the sake of making my Instagram feed perfectly uniform.

I edit for you.

Because years from now, I want you to remember what Alaska actually felt like. The crisp air. The golden light. The deep greens of summer. The cool blues of winter. The feeling of standing in that place with the people you love.

To me, that's what makes a photograph timeless.

Movement over perfection

Kids don't have to sit still. Your dog doesn't have to cooperate. The wind doesn't have to calm down.

Some of my favorite photographs happen in between the "perfect" moments.

I care far less about creating flawless poses than I do about capturing genuine connection.

We'll walk.

We'll play.

We'll explore.

We'll embrace whatever the day gives us.

Because that's real life. And years from now, that's usually what matters most.

Let's Explore.

The best sessions don't feel like photoshoots—they feel like an evening spent exploring one of the most beautiful places on earth.

If that sounds like your kind of experience, I'd love to show you my favorite corners of Alaska and tell your story along the way.

I can't wait to meet you.
