Where the wildflowers bloom

Hannah first came to me for one of my wildflower mini sessions with her kids. They ran around, picked flowers, made a little bit of chaos and mostly just got to be kids. What I didn’t know then was that this would be the first of many summers spent photographing them. Hannah became one of my close friends, and year after year I got to watch her kids grow up in front of my camera, usually still running through flowers somewhere.

WHEN WILLOW CAME HOME

This one is extra special because these are my people. When my sister brought Willow home, I got to photograph those first days of everyone figuring out their new normal together. We stayed cozy at home, passed the baby around, loved on her and documented all those tiny details that change way too quickly. It was simple, a little sleepy and exactly what those first days looked like.

An afternoon wandering Denali together

A LITTLE WILD, A LOT OF FUN


This family wanted something a little more adventurous, so we made a day of it and wandered around Denali National Park together. We explored, played, stopped whenever something caught our attention and let the kids be kids. And yes, there were a few tears along the way because sometimes that’s just part of having little people. But those moments pass, everyone keeps moving, and somehow the photos are still full of all the good stuff. The laughs, the exploring and what it actually felt like to be there together.

The first snowfall

They were getting ready to welcome their first baby when one of the first snows of the season showed up at just the right time. As outdoor enthusiasts who genuinely love winter, a snowy maternity session felt like an obvious choice. We bundled up, wandered through the fresh snow and documented this version of their family before they welcomed their baby boy.
