Micro Weddings & Elopements in Interior Alaska
Candid and artful photography for couples who value connection over convention.
Congratulations on this new season of life!
You are engaged, and that deserves to be celebrated. Whether you are already planning your elopement or just beginning to dream it up, this season is about slowing down and choosing what feels right for you.
Your wedding day does not have to look like everyone else’s, and that is the beauty of it. I photograph couples who want to do things their own way with smaller gatherings, wild backdrops, and moments that feel genuine and true.
Micro weddings and elopements give you space to focus on what truly matters. The vows, the laughter, and the quiet moments in between. My goal is to help you stay present and create a day that reflects your story instead of anyone else’s expectations.
As an artist and storyteller, I approach every celebration with an eye for emotion and atmosphere. I blend fine art composition with natural, candid documentation so your photos feel timeless and full of life. Whether your ceremony takes place in the Alaskan wilderness or surrounded by a few loved ones on a hillside, I am there to capture the honest and artful beauty of it all.
THE PROCESS
-
Start by filling out the inquiry form or clicking the “Inquire” button. From there, we’ll schedule a short discovery call to chat about your vision and see if we’re the right fit. This is where I get to hear your story, your ideas, and what you want your day to feel like.
-
After our call, I’ll create a custom quote that fits your needs and vision. Every elopement and micro wedding is unique, so your package will reflect exactly what you’re dreaming up. Many couples also choose to add an engagement session so we can get comfortable working together and capture this season before the wedding.
-
Once your date is officially booked, we’ll start planning the details together. You can send me inspiration boards or Pinterest links, and I’ll help guide you through timelines, location ideas, and any creative details that bring your vision to life.
-
All that planning comes together here. You get to be fully present while I document your day exactly as it unfolds—every quiet moment, every laugh, and every piece of beauty that makes it yours.
“…On the day of our wedding, her amazing photography skills shone through as she captured all the special moments of our celebration in a natural way. We felt completely comfortable with Makenzie, who also helped keep me calm as the bride by making sure my partner and I could focus on each other…”

LET’S PLAN A DAY THAT FEELS LIKE YOU
Whether you are exchanging vows beside a glacier, holding hands under the midnight sun, or sharing a quiet dinner with the people who matter most, your day deserves to be photographed with intention and care.
I will help guide you through planning your timeline, finding a location that feels right, and making sure your photos capture the emotion and atmosphere of the day.
